There is a little shop in London called Sautter owned by Laurence Davis. He is an old friend of mine from whom I have been securing great Cuban cigars for a long time. In his little shop, he has four or five seats where aficionados enjoy their cigars, his company, and that of other civilized cigar smokers.

They are a device for honing your initial judgment, for helping you decide which factors will be significant and which factors will not. Whenever I look for driving forces I first run through a familiar litany of categories: Society, Technology, Economics, Politics, and Environment.

Improving capabilities through government partnerships

With GovRel’s Innovation in Governance Academy (IG Academy), Aboitiz was able to offer to both National Irrigation Authority (NIA) and Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) training modules which actually helped them improve not only themselves but also the processes they handle in their work assignments.

Last October 15, Aboitiz unveiled an artist's perspective of the Balabag Wetland Park (Boracay Wetland No. 4) development project with Sec. Roy Cimatu (DENR), Sec. Eduardo Año (DILG,) DENR-BMB representatives, and LGU officials.

Aboitiz joins campaign to redeem the Boracay wetlands

The Aboitiz Group is giving the government’s ongoing rehabilitation of Boracay an added boost by partnering with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). On August 13, 2018, both parties signed a memorandum of agreement under which Aboitiz will adopt and revive Wetland 4, one of nine wetlands scattered across the island.

Into the rapids of Davao River

Apo Agua is set to build one of the country’s largest private bulk water supply facilities with the capacity to supply sourced from Tamugan River, which is a tributary of the mighty Davao River, considered the third largest river in Mindanao. Apo Agua’s own Ruby Broas, process and environmental engineer, shares her experience of the power and majesty of the Davao River from her recent whitewater rafting adventure down the famed rapids.
