Aboitiz Construction, led by its president and chief operating officer Albert A. Ignacio, Jr. (AAI), showcased the company’s over 40 years of experience in the highly anticipated Construction Program Management Course spearheaded by the Philippine Constructors Association (PCA).
Dubbed as the premier master class series for practitioners, the course has gathered the industry’s leaders and experts during the learning series that ran in August and September.
AAI talked about the topic “Risk and Opportunity Management” covering the company’s experience building vital infrastructure in the energy and utilities, oil and gas, industrial, commercial, mining, and manufacturing sectors that spanned over 44 years. The topic was also an opportunity to promote the Aboitiz Group’s brand promise of advancing business and communities articulated by Aboitiz Construction’s contribution to nation-building.
Unlike other construction companies, Aboitiz Construction focuses on projects that are more industrial in nature located in remote areas. In so doing, the work that the company completes eventually kickstarts progress in local areas and communities. The company has also established its own fabrication shop that assembles products like heaters and modular structures that are exported to clients in the USA and Canada.
The 10-day course that ran on all Fridays and Saturdays of August, plus the first Saturday of September, offered owners, developers, executives, and managers of companies involved in construction projects the unique opportunity to hear and learn from industry leaders and experts in various fields who will share their knowledge and expertise on how to manage construction programs.
The program provided a holistic perspective on how construction programs are conceptualized, implemented, and closed out from pre-construction, during construction and post-construction not just from their areas of responsibilities. Through lectures, open forums, and workshops, participants in the master class will be equipped towards full understanding of the entire program lifecycle to enhance their respective companies’ efficiency and productivity.
