Aboitiz Group sends relief to Cagayan in wake of Typhoon Lawin

Aboitiz Group business units have partnered with Aboitiz Foundation to mobilize resources and send emergency relief to Cagayan province, which was severely affected by Typhoon Lawin recently.

AboitizPower Distribution Group has dispatched a group of 25 linemen from Subic EnerZone, Davao Light, and VECO to assist CAGELCO 1 (Cagayan Electric Cooperative) and ISELCO 1 (Isabela I Electric Cooperative) in restoring power in the area.

Meanwhile, about 80 team member volunteers from Hedcor Benguet and Sabangan have completed assembly of 1,870 relief packs. These were distributed on October 28 in Itogon, Beckel, Sablan, Sabangan, Bauko, and Bakun.

Last October 22, volunteers from AboitizLand and Aboitiz Foundation along with students and faculty members of Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Taguig also finished putting together 1,000 packs of relief goods, which also include The Care Package. These will be kept on standby by LiMALand for relief operations in the immediate future.
