Aboitiz Group ties up with AdMU-MEcO for National Student-Investors Convention

In 2016, Aboitiz Group partnered with Ateneo de Manila University’s (AdMU) Management Economics Organization (MEcO), through which MEcO members gain access to mentors, experts, internship programs, potential future employment and corporate funding.

For Aboitiz Group, it provides deeper access to degreed talents in specifically targeted fields, both students and alumni. Group Attraction also taps the student group’s organized activities as venues to communicate our employer brand and recruit A-talents.

On March 25, Aboitiz Group participated in MEcO’s flagship project, the National Student-Investors Convention (NSInC) held at AdMU’s Henry Lee-Irwin Theater. The event gathered 700 college students from various schools to learn about investment practices in the Philippines as well as opportunities and challenges related to it. The discussions are not only meant to educate but to encourage attendees to start investing.

Ramon Cervantes, Equity Portfolio Manager and a graduate of UnionBank’s LEAD Management Traineeship Program talked about the millennial generation, trends and importance of investment. Rob Ramos, Head of Trust and Investment Services Group of UnionBank, was among the forum panelists. Ramos shared insights on navigating uncertain financial conditions.

Industry-academe student organization partnerships is part of the Aboitiz Group’s Future Talents Program. By amplifying our employer brand in the academe, Aboitiz Group is able to expand its reach and strengthen recruitment efforts for degreed talents in specific fields of education and practice.
