In 2016, Aboitiz Group partnered with Ateneo de Manila University’s (AdMU) Management Economics Organization (MEcO), through which MEcO members gain access to mentors, experts, internship programs, potential future employment and corporate funding.

On March 25, Aboitiz Group participated in MEcO’s flagship project, the National Student-Investors Convention (NSInC) held at AdMU’s Henry Lee-Irwin Theater. The event gathered 700 college students from various schools to learn about investment practices in the Philippines as well as opportunities and challenges related to it. The discussions are not only meant to educate but to encourage attendees to start investing.
Ramon Cervantes, Equity Portfolio Manager and a graduate of UnionBank’s LEAD Management Traineeship Program talked about the millennial generation, trends and importance of investment. Rob Ramos, Head of Trust and Investment Services Group of UnionBank, was among the forum panelists. Ramos shared insights on navigating uncertain financial conditions.
