Aboitiz-supported Ricardo P. Cruz Sr. Elementary School (ES) in Taguig City was recently recognized as the Best Brigada Eskwela Implementer 2017 (Division Search, Mega School Category) by the Department of Education (DepEd) Division of Taguig City.

On May 20, 318 volunteers from various Aboitiz business units participated in the Brigada Eskwela to repaint armchairs and desks at the Ricardo P. Cruz Sr. and repaint classrooms and armchairs at the Upper Bicutan Elementary School. To date, the Aboitiz Group with 2,795 of its team members has assisted 352 schools through the Brigada Eskwela program, benefitting 207,613 students and repairing/repainting 1,114 classrooms nationwide.
This participation in the Brigada Eskwela activity is part of a larger aim of the Aboitiz Group to improve the quality of public education in the country by providing opportunities for students to have access to a better learning environment. This, supports the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals on Quality Education (Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all).
