AboitizLand inspires conservation through lighted art installation

Mounted at the garden area near Fork in the Road, lighted art sculptures of endangered species lit up at night to greet shoppers at The Outlets at Pueblo Verde. AboitizLand hosted this exhibit to increase awareness on the impact of climate change and further inspire conservation efforts.

Featuring animals classified by the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) as either “Endangered” or “Critically Endangered”, the lighted art pieces also showcased those endemic to the Philippines such as the tamaraw (Bubalus mindorensis) and the Philippine eagle (Pithecophaga jefferyi).

The installation was part of the Earth Hour initiatives and has been extended until May to capture the interest of many mainly to impart the relevance of protecting wildlife.

Aside from the exhibit, AboitizLand also organized various activities in different sites to further promote sustainability efforts including a 3-day Eco Fair, recycled costume contest, as well as the first-ever Earth Hour Talk. Aimed at advocating an eco-friendly lifestyle, the event also brought together MEZ II locators, employees, local NGOs, and guests from DENR to support the cause.

Engaging communities to duly safeguard the interest of the planet, AboitizLand continues to stay true to its promise of creating better ways to live.
