In its bid to continue advancing business and empowering its host communities, Hedcor has set aside PHP4 million for several corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects scheduled for implementation in 2018.
Hedcor President and Chief Operating Officer Carlos Aboitiz recently met the tribal chieftains and local government officials from the host communities of Hedcor’s Manolo Fortich Hydropower Project in the province of Bukidnon to firm up commitments.
Aboitiz shared that the biggest chunk of the allocation will go to education and then some to livelihood development, health and well-being of the communities, as well as the environment.
Manolo Fortich Mayor Clive D. Quiño, Impasug-ong Mayor Anthony A. Uy, DepEd School Division Superintendent Cherry Mae L. Limbaco and the Hedcor team sealed the memorandum of agreement for this year’s CSR projects.
Hedcor, a subsidiary of Aboitiz Power Corporation, has been Bukidnon’s partner in development even before the construction of the hydropower plants in the area. The Manolo Fortich Hydros 1 and 2 will soon contribute 68.8 MW of clean and renewable energy to Mindanao.
