AboitizPower, in partnership with the Aboitiz Foundation, turned over computers for the benefit of the 760 students of Lakewood Central Elementary School, many of whom are members of families of the Subanon tribe in Zamboanga del Sur.
The turnover is part of the company’s computerization program.
Board President Forunato Lumawan personally chose the school as the beneficiary owing to his being the leader of the Subanon Tribe. This event was conducted in partnership with the Zamboanga del Sur II Electric Cooperative (ZAMSURSECO 2) and was attended by Lumawan, ZAMSURSECO ISD Manager Madelaine Lao, Municipal Mayor Canuto Enerio, Daryll Gacus of AbitizPower, Teachers and members of the school’s PTA, representatives from the Department of Education, and students.
