Davao Light And Power Co. Inc. welcomed the team from the Bangko Sentral Ng Pilipinas (BSP) for a tree planting activity at the Cleanergy Park in Punta Dumalag Matina Aplaya, Davao City, on April 1.
BSP is an active supporter of the environmental advocacies of the Cleanergy Park. Present during the tree planting activity were the BSP Officers club from Luzon, who came to visit the Crown Jewel City of Mindanao, along with their Davao counterparts and Davao Regional Director, Sonia S. De Los Reyes. The group planted a total of 300 mangrove seedlings.
The Aboitiz Cleanergy Park, co-managed by the Aboitiz Foundation and Davao Light, is an eight-hectare preserve that functions as a nesting ground for the critically endangered Hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) and is home to at least 100 more species of flora and fauna.
