In its effort to co-create healthy neighborhoods, AboitizPower hydro unit Hedcor reached out to five far-flung barangays in two of the municipalities in Bukidnon to provide medical and dental assistance last August.
In partnership with the doctors from the local government units of the municipalities of Manolo Fortich and Impasug-ong, over 2,000 residents benefited from the free healthcare check, prescription medicines, and tooth extraction services.
Aside from these, Hedcor will train 300 mothers on health and proper sanitation to further help its host communities achieve a sustainable healthy environment.
Barangays Maluko, Santiago, Dalirig, and Lingi-on of Manolo Fortich, as well as Barangay Guihean of Impasug-ong, are host communities of Hedcor’s 68.8 Manolo Fortich hydropower project in Bukidnon, which will be fully operational this year.
Hedcor is the run-of-river hydropower arm of AboitizPower operating 21 power facilities in the country with a total rated capacity of 245 megawatts. With more than 40 years of experience, Hedcor is the leading run-of-river developer in the Philippines.
Each year, Hedcor provides medical, dental and surgical aid, consultations checkups, and services for free to thousands of residents in its host communities. By advancing business and communities, Hedcor envisions for ‘A Better Future’ through Cleanergy, its brand for clean and renewable energy.
