Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARB) from three barangays in Surallah, South Cotabato recently received livelihood kits in a joint effort to uplift the lives and help increase farmers’ household income.
The Aboitiz Foundation and Pilmico Foods Corporation, The food business unit of the Aboitiz Group, partnered with the Department of Agrarian Reform to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities for more farmers in the country, as well as help improve the country’s agricultural sector.
The Visayas elimination round, held at the HRM department of University of St. La Salle Bacolod, saw six teams show off their bread baking skills as they created a traditional bread as well as add their own twist to Pinoy favorites with their version of a modern bread.

At the 6th Go Negosyo OFW & Family Summit, Senator Cynthia Villar commended ‘Mahalin Pagkaing Atin’ (MPA) and Pilmico’s efforts in promoting local agriculture and sustainable entrepreneurship among FIlipinos.
Over 500 attendees witnessed 28 beneficiaries receive livelihood packages – piglets, egg machines, and bakery kits. Pilmico also donated the start-up livelihood kits in coordination with Villar SIPAG Foundation, which focuses on helping former overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) get their livelihood on track along with other initiatives.
This activity, supported by the local government of Compostela, is one of Pilmico’s programs to support backyard hog raisers in the country. The Pilmico team was able to provide free veterinary medicines and basic farm equipment to beneficiaries.
