Republic Cement CEO calls on building industry to go green

Key players in the cement manufacturing industry have been called to make the move to green and sustainable operations. Likewise, consumers were urged to choose cement products that are produced in an environmentally sustainable manner, to encourage further greening of the building and manufacturing innovations in the industry.

Republic Cement’s Iligan Plant turns 50!

Republic Cement celebrates the golden anniversary of its Iligan Plant this year, kicking off with the “50 Ways of Giving Back” outreach program. Recognizing the valuable contributions of its people throughout the years of the plant, Republic Cement looks forward to more milestones while commemorating the successes and indomitable team spirit of its Iligan family.

BUILD, BUILD, BUILD. Republic Cement’s expansion activities are supported by the Department of Trade and Industry through the Board of Investments. These investments will help ensure a continued supply of cement for the local construction sector in light of the strong demand for commercial and residential spaces and the current administration’s aggressive infrastructure plans.

Growing the ‘great wall of mangroves’

Breaking from their norm of manufacturing cement and aggregates, team members from Republic’s Makati office and Bulacan, Norzagaray, and LCLC plants journeyed to Malolos, Bulacan to join community members, LGU, and DENR officials to fulfill the promise that the company made last Christmas to rehabilitate the mangroves that help protect the Bulacan coast.
