Last February 2018, AEV launched another employee-driven initiative; the A-Club program. This initiative was able to muster and form 10 clubs of different backgrounds and interests and create a society of A-people that when synthesized form into somewhat an A-culture. The Saved With Amazing Grace (SWAG) is one the 10 A-clubs in AEV. Today, it continues to live by its purpose which is to build a stronger community with a sense of familiarity that will bring A-people closer together and more importantly, closer to God. SWAG aims to enlighten you with God’s love and who you are to God. It opens the door to a healthy spiritual journey and establish new relationships with other people.
“Our calling to share the gospel outside the church community… wherever God placed us, that is our place to minister. The goal is to know and grow closer to God, not just get information.” – Czarina Cartera, Aboitiz Power”
SWAG was already an active group since then. They used to call their group the “Monday Group” then later on changed it to “About Bible & Christ”. Their very first session took place last September 25, 2017 with the support of Mr. Joseph Yu and Mr. Hernando Zamora. After the group was recognized under the A-Club program, they were able to conduct more sessions and invite new faces.
Wondering when and where their meetings take place? It is usually on the 2nd and 4th week of the month, after office hours at 11/F Boardroom. Better check your calendars now to see when is the earliest free time you have to join their session! They are definitely excited to welcome you in their growing family.
And you guessed it right, the meeting begins with a prayer, but unlike your usual way of praying, you’ll get to sing your heart out! Don’t worry, no one will judge. Opening prayers will be followed by some ice breakers that will surely rejuvenate you after a long day of work. And while stories are being shared, you get to munch on some snacks and quench your thirst with some refreshments.
So what are you waiting for? Praise your way up and join SWAG’s growing family now! You may contact Carlo Franco (email@example.com) if you are interested to attend sessions.
