Davao Co-ops and Davao Doctors offer livelihood training for rehabilitated drug surrenderees

The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), Davao Doctors College Inc. (DDC), Sta. Ana. Police Station, Barangay Tomas Monteverde Sr. and Davao City Cooperative Development Council (DCCDC) signed a Memorandum of Agreement for a joint project dubbed as “Rebuilding Trust Through Therapeutic Hands” on Jan. 20 at the Caduceus Hall of DDC in Malvar, Davao City.

Independent Cooperative Movement of Employees of Davao (INCOME DAVAO), a cooperative of the employees of Davao Light and Power Co. and other business units of the AboitizPower, is part of a group of cooperatives that spearhead the program.

The project aims to train and educate rehabilitated drug surrenderees in massage therapy to provide them of livelihood opportunity as they integrate back to the society. The first batch of training will have 20 trainees from Barangay Tomas Monteverde Sr. The training will be conducted at Agdao Elementary School.
