The incidence of poverty in many parts of the Philippines restricts many parents from sending their children to school. In the case of the progressive city of Cebu, many students are still in dire need of educational assistance, resulting in a number of youth losing vast opportunities for growth.
Recognizing this need, the Aboitiz Foundation has joined forces with the Department of Education and the Cebu Private Power Corporation to give opportunities to public school students to pursue their secondary education.
“We in the Aboitiz Foundation strongly believes that an empowered youth is an empowered nation. This is one of the reasons why we continue to invest in implementing education projects, as part of our works in co-creating safe, empowered, and sustainable communities. We want to be a trusted partner in development of the communities.”
