AboitizLand recently concluded a skills training program for 153 unemployed residents and out-of-school youth in Cebu City, Balamban, and Liloan through the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). They acquired NC-II certifications in the Electrical Installation & Maintenance, Carpentry, Plumbing, and Masonry programs and received toolkits to start their own professional trade.
“Dako among pasalamat sa AboitizLand para ani nga higayon nga makakat-on mi bisan sa mubo nga panahon (We are very thankful to AboitizLand for this opportunity to learn even for a short period of time),” said Richie Tabor who passed his Carpentry NC-II training course, which not only gives him a shot at a better future for his family but also opens doors for him to practice his passion. Richie and his fellow “graduates’ will also be tapped to form the workforce needed for the company’s various developments in Cebu.
