Nine key personnel from the Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) visited VECO last August 3 to study the company’s Outsourcing Program.
MCWD acting General Manager Noel R. Dalena earlier wrote to VECO COO Anton Mari G. Perdices expressing the water district’s intent to learn from VECO.
“Knowing that you had successfully implemented your outsourcing programs as a utility company, MCWD, being in similar industry, would like to learn from you on how to accordingly plan and implement an effective outsourcing program,” Dalena’s letter said.
The benchmarking session focused on two aspects, namely: outsourcing of non-core business processes such as disconnection and reconnection of delinquent accounts, payment facilities systems and processes, service provider management and processes; and the applied automation systems and IT support requirements such as the integration of the service provider’s system to VECO’s database, back-end support requirements, as well as end-user apps demo.
The MCWD delegation was headed by OIC SCID Manager John Macabinta, OIC Division Manager Israel Ortiz, General Services Chief Anthony Tom Anoba, Branch Collection Division Manager Imelda Chu, Corporate Communication Division Manager Edwin Chu, OIC Manager Rommel Yu, Division Manager Tarleyto Tabinas, Systems Analyst Janet Magno and HRD Manager Elson Englis.
The team from VECO was composed of RMD Manager Saira Abigael O. Verula, Key Accounts Rep Engr. Roger Montebon, Disconnection Supervisor Princess Charm Lim, Meter Reading Supervisor Engr. Lloyd Ybanez, Recovery Supervisor Engr. Roy Edward R. Mission and CRSD Operations Supervisor Engr. Junrey Estoy.
