PETNET @ 19: Building Blocks. Breaking Barriers.

August 11 marked 19 years of PETNET in the business of providing complete suite of cash services to Filipinos.

As a symbol of gratitude, the celebration kicked-off with the first PETNET Bloodletting Program held in partnership with Philippine Red Cross (PRC) on August 4. It was indeed a success as team members from the Head Office, nearby branches, field personnel, and some employees of AV Ocampo Insurance took part in this program.

The company also sponsored a thanksgiving mass on August 10, which was officiated by Fr. Edmundo Martinez and attended by employees from Head Office.

The main event of the celebration was held on August 11, 2017. The whole PETNET community were gathered as the celebration was streamed live via AGORA with the theme, “PETNET @ 19: Building Blocks. Breaking Barriers.”

Lorenzo Ocampo, President of PETNET, opened the program with his inspirational message.

For the past years, we are sowing sparingly and bountifully and I hope that we will not stop doing it because the time will come that we will surely reap sparingly and bountifully.”

-Lorenzo Ocampo, President and CEO, PETNET

Also, the President and CEO of Aboitiz Group, Erramon I. Aboitiz, gave his congratulatory greetings  through a video message.

“I therefore commend all of you for your hard work, dedication, and can-do attitude that further empower you to grow the business while continuing to create long-term value for all our stakeholders.”

-Erramon I. Aboitiz, Aboitiz Group President and CEO

As part of the celebration and a way of recognizing employees’ contribution to the company’s growth, various awards were given to deserving employees. Recognition of  loyal employees with 5, 10 and 15 years of service were honored. Above and Beyond the Call of Duty Award, Iba Ka Award (Most Profitable Award), and the Zero Tardiness Award were also given to the employees with exemplary performance.

PETNET’s 19th year was punctuated by major milestones that serve as building blocks to the company’s goal of breaking barriers in the financial industry. The launching of the Pera Hub mobile app, launching of several new product lines, PETNET’s going Digital  through e-Learning Digital Town Hall and Agora, and PETNET’s preparation for ISO Certification are just some of building blocks of the company’s 19th year. And the festive and positive outcome of the program is a fitting symbol that there are really a lot of reasons to celebrate and exciting opportunities to look forward to as the company scales up towards its 20th year in the business.

“One thing never changed for the past 19 years and that is our people. You, the employees, each one of us played a vital role to get PETNET to where it is today. You continue to be the strong foundation of our company.”

-Ian T. Ocampo, PETNET VP for Marketing and Auxiliary Services
