Pilmico Animal Nutrition Corporation has officially broken ground on three new projects for its Tarlac plant.

The expansion, which includes Project Granum (Silo and Flat Warehouse for raw materials), Project 20 (a 20TPH feed mill plant to be expanded to 40TPH capacity) and the Research Center (the hub for research and innovation) will enable Pilmico to meet the growing demand for animal feeds in the region and introduce new innovations on livestock farming.

Roderic A. dela Cruz, Pilmico’s Assistant Vice President for Operations – Tarlac, thanked Pilmico partners who witnessed the groundbreaking ceremony and those who made the expansion possible.

“Three years ago, this area was just a junkyard. But, look at it now. Through our hard work and persistence, we fulfilled our vision for this plot of land to accommodate our latest expansions. Thank you to everyone who supported this goal. This is not an individual effort, this is teamwork…”

-Roderic dela Cruz, Assistant Vice President for Operations – Tarlac, Pilmico

The new feed mill, will provide 125,000MT of feeds per year to grow the business and support the growing sales volume. The feed mill, dubbed as the ‘feed mill of the future’, will be equipped with latest technologies including full automation and robotics functionalities.

Meanwhile, the silo and flat warehouse with a total capacity of 10,000MT is intended for grains. It  will provide sufficient storage for the site’s requirements especially for Pilmico’s gamefowl brand, Salto. This facility will also support the trading division of the company.

Pilmico’s commitment to providing quality animal feeds to its customers is the main driver of the Research Center. The facility is eyed as the hub for research & innovation to further improve our development of premium quality poultry, swine, gamefowl – and soon aqua – feeds to our customers.

Being true Partners for Growth, Pilmico through this expansion, not only enables the growth of its business but has also laid the groundwork for future employment, agricultural innovations and more importantly, stimulate growth in the community.
