Pilmico extends a helping hand to earthquake-affected Batangueños

Pilmico continues to bring aid to our brothers and sisters who have been affected by calamities, whenever and wherever it is most needed. Just recently, 200 households affected by the April earthquakes in Batangas received a donation from Pilmico’s gamefowl feeds brand, Salto.

In April, Salto successfully held the Breeders Benefit Sabong, where they generated a total of PHP439,000.

The charity event allowed the company to donate essential food supplies to earthquake survivors in Mabini, Batangas. On April 25, in cooperation with the local government of Batangas, 200 sacks of rice, and 25 boxes of The Care Package high-energy biscuits were distributed to 200 most affected households in the area. Beneficiaries of Salto’s donation were from 26 different barangays in Mabini, including: Barangay Malimatoc, Nag-Iba, Majuben, Ligaya, Anilao East, Anilao Proper, Bagalangit, and Solo.

A portion of the amount was also used for Salto’s outreach program in Col. E. De Leon Public Elementary School in Parañaque City. Funds were used for the rehabilitation of classroom walls and other school fixtures, for service learning activities, and for the purchase of 7 units of smart TVs, and other essential school supplies.
