Differently abled women prove that strength do not just come from physical capacity during the three-day empowerment leadership training facilitated by Philippine Accessible Disability Services (PADS) and Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. – Kool Adventure Camp (RAFI-KAC). The training was held last May 3 to 5 at the Kool Adventure Camp Adventure Education Center in Balamban.
The training sought to empower the participants with leadership, independence, self-confidence, sensitivity, positive attitude and mindset.
Janice Aparri, project officer of Break the Silence, PADS, shared that she was looking forward to develop future leaders among these participants. The activity, she added, could help them develop and improve social interaction as well as understand equality for a deaf-friendly and PWD (persons with disabilities)-friendly environment.
“Our deepest gratitude to KAC for serving and supporting our training and for organizing our partnership as well,” Aparri added.
