In keeping with Republic Cement Group’s mission of cultivating and empowering young talent, the Group launched a Management Trainee Program (MTP) as part of the Republic EDGE (Encouraging Development and Growth through Experiences) Program to develop promising young professionals to become leaders of the future.
Twenty-two young professionals were handpicked from among over a thousand applicants with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, Communications, and Community Relations backgrounds. The MTs will undergo 24 months of extensive exposure to various disciplines as they rotate across departments within the organization where they are expected to immerse themselves and contribute to company performance.
For an entire week, they went through an onboarding program where they imbibed core knowledge about Republic Cement – its vision, mission and values, products, and operations. They were also introduced to their coaches and mentors who will play a big role in their professional development for the next two years. By the end of the week, they were briefed on the cement manufacturing process at the Republic Bulacan plant.
In the coming weeks, the MTs will have the opportunity to work not only in their home function, but also in related functions, under the direct supervision of their coaches and mentors. To the new Management Trainees – welcome to the Group!
