In time for the opening of classes, Aboitiz led the painting of a marine conservation-themed mural in Tipas Elementary School. It was designed and executed by a team of UP Fine Arts students with the support of Aboitiz team members and the Aboitiz Future Leaders Business Summit (AFLBS) scholars and alumni. The 45-square meter mural uses air-purifying paint that neutralizes lethal nitrogen oxides, creating a space that promotes environmental stewardship while providing a cleaner environment for thousands of the Group’s young stakeholders. Featuring several hawksbill turtles swimming in their ocean habitat, it supports the #BetterWorld for the Pawikan campaign by raising awareness of the importance of protecting our waters and the many species that make their home within.
“It is important for everyone to be aware of this cause and so we want to thank Tipas Elementary School for making space for our #BetterWorld mural. More than a beautification project, we want to help inspire our young students to be the future caretakers of our planet and our marine life.”
