Aboitiz Foundation and WeatherPhilippines Foundation concluded National Disaster Resilience Month (July) with collaborative efforts to empower schools and communities on disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM).
Today’s risk practitioners are facing a new scope of risks with varied meanings in the way they impact operations. With the theme of ‘Redefining Risks’, the 2019 Pan-Asia Risk and Insurance Management Association (PARIMA) regional conference in Manila sought to understand these new challenges and posed this question: “Are risk professionals prepared?”
Risk Management practitioners from across the Aboitiz Group were officially recognized as Certified Risk Professionals at the PARIMA 2019 Manila Conference last May 22 held at Shangri-La at the Fort. The nine Aboitiz team members had taken and passed the rigorous two-hour exam for the PARIMA-ANZIIF Certified Risk Professional Certification Programme (PA-CRP).
PARIMA held its Marsh-Lloyd’s Risk Conversation forum in Bonifacio Global City last May 10, welcoming 96 delegates of whom 23 are risk practitioners from the Aboitiz Group. Discussions focused on significant findings of on global risk, city risk, and digitalization and their impact on the current approach to risk management.
AEV’s Risk Management Team led the company’s 2nd Reinsurer’s Appreciation Night in Singapore, a city which is now considered as the ‘largest Asian hub for reinsurance’ where the world’s biggest and most reputable reinsurance companies have offices, including AIG, Chubb, Swiss Re, AXA, Berkshire Hathaway, and Allianz.
Being SECURE means having risk-prioritized controls to defend critical assets against known and emerging threats. Being VIGILANT means having threat intelligence and situational awareness to anticipate and identify harmful behavior. Being RESILIENT means being prepared and having the ability to recover from cyber incidents and minimize their impact.
