Launched only last May, 1AP Agora has become the one-stop site that helps team leaders and team members fulfill their everyday tasks and their milestones.
DJ Rimas of Accounting said that he goes to 1AP Agora every day and has made it his browsing page for work-related Web visits. He reads articles and watches videos that are on his Agora notification list. He likes to watch e-learning videos, like those on AP Wiki.
“I hope 1AP Agora would have more old pictures of the company as these are more engaging ways to inform team members about the history of AP and the Aboitiz Group in general,” Teddy said. He hopes that 1AP will also feature a classified ad section where team members and team leaders can post items on sale, and a calendar of birthdays and company events.
“It would also be nice to have background music while browsing,” he said.
The 1AP Agora is the latest digital tool that connects all team members of corporate support units (CSU) and BUs, allowing them to communicate, collaborate, and work together online towards the goal of creating 1AP – a well designed, agile, and responsive organization ready for sustained growth.
Kiara Nanali said that 1AP Agora is also her homepage. As part of her work at AP DU HR, she uses 1AP Agora not only for uploading announcements on new hires and promotions, but also for learning about recent developments within AP and in AEV.
Kiara said that they plan to add features for messages, HR advisories, birthdays, other company announcements, and shared services.
Fatima Ramos, AP HR specialist, said that Agora connects everyone in AP, wherever they are. “AP is a big organization, with sites all over the Philippines. Now that there’s Agora, it is easy to stay up-to-date on what’s happening in different business units,” she said.
Distance and diversity pose a challenge to achieving 1AP but the uniqueness of business units and teams provide a watershed of stories that can be found on 1AP Agora.
Agora strives to inform, establish an environment that is conducive for interaction, and cultivate a climate where team members and team leaders inspire each other by learning about individual and group triumphs.
Arcel Madrid, APRI community relations supervisor, said that 1AP Agora’s benefits and potential are as diverse as AP. “Most importantly, though, 1AP Agora provides a venue where team members across the country get to be recognized, informed, and involved. Because of that, it is now driving interaction, collaboration, and productivity among employees,” he said.
There is still a lot of work to be done since 1AP Agora is a long journey as much as it is a learning process. It requires teamwork from all content creators across CSUs and BUs to provide our team members with information, give them something to talk about, and inspire them.
The future of Agora is exciting as new features await us in the coming months.
