“All topics were excellent and up to date. Truly trailblazers.”
“It was great meeting fellow Talent Optimization professionals in the Group, and learning from the BU best practices. It shows we are not left behind in the industry. I feel there’s more value in this forum compared to PSTD or PMAP conferences…”
“I gained a lot of new insights that I can share in my BU.”
These are just some of the comments received from the participants of the 5th annual Talent Optimization Forum, held last October 16 at the F1 Hotel.
The event brought together over 50 Talent Optimization partners across the Aboitiz Group, handling functions such as learning and development, succession and career development, and talent analytics.
With the theme “Always Learning”, the morning program covered topics such as “The Future of Talent Optimization”, “Learning and Development 2020”, “Pipeline to Portfolio Succession Management” and “The Story of Talent Optimization”. Featured speakers from Group HR team brought up important insights and discoveries from institutions such as Bersin by Deloitte, CEB-Gartner, Edcast, and Dataseer.
The afternoon program was devoted for best practice sharing by each SBU, showcasing their ‘wins’, what works, and what they’ve learned—from UnionBank’s digital transformation, AboitizPower’s competency based development, Pilmico’s “Istorya Club” internal facilitators pool, and AboitizLand’s Sustaining Training Impact program. A group workshop followed in which participants drew up plans toward reinventing Talent Optimization within their own BUs in the coming year.
The forum kickstarted the Talent Optimization Week activities aimed at promoting all related active projects and initiatives—from the Bugsay (Self-Driven Development) portal in Agora, the Mentoring Partnership Program, all workshops and offerings under the Always Learning Academy, and the Always Learning mobile learning platform, also dubbed as the ‘Netflix of Learning’.
The Talent Optimization Forum, year after year, facilitates building partnerships among HR talents across the Group and elevates the entire practice of learning and development, as well as succession management and self-driven career development to ensure the team meets its goal of getting our A-people to reach their highest potential across the Group.
