As part of Aboitiz Group’s efforts to advance better waste management among its team members, the company set up a Green Fashion Revolution Booth on March 24 to promote sustainability through responsible clothing consumption.
The event, which was held at the NAC Tower corporate center, featured Samahan ng mga Mananahi ng Lupang Arenda’s (SAMALA) products for sale. SAMALA was the chosen beneficiary of the 2016 Green Fashion Revolution Grand Champion, De La Salle University-College of Saint Benilde. Aboitiz Equity Venture’s sustainability team also encouraged team members to register for the ongoing groupwide digital Rummage Sale via the corporate intranet, Agora, where they could sell their pre-loved items.
Additionally, team members had their photos taken in support of the #whomademyclothes campaign, a social media initiative by our U.K.-based partner, Fashion Revolution. The campaign encourages people to ask brands who made their clothes to promote transparency in the fashion industry.
