Aboitiz InfraCapital bags new honors at the International Finance & Global Business Outlook Awards
Aboitiz InfraCapital (AIC), the infrastructure arm of the Aboitiz Group, continues redefining the Philippines' infrastructure landscape through innovation, sustainability, and transformative leadership with new wins at the prestigious International Finance Awards (IFA) and Global Business Outlook (GBO) Awards.
The UK-based IFA named AIC the Most Innovative Infrastructure Investment Company in the Philippines for 2024, citing its “forward-thinking approach and focus on long-term impact.” This recognition highlights AIC’s steadfast dedication to building transformative and sustainable infrastructure ecosystems across four key business pillars: Economic Estates, Water, Digital Infrastructure, and Transport & Mobility.
AIC also garnered two honors at the UK-based GBO Awards: Best Infrastructure Investment Management Company in the Philippines for 2024 and Best Woman Leader in the Infrastructure Development Sector in the Philippines, awarded to AIC President and CEO Cosette V. Canilao. The recognition celebrates AIC’s excellence in infrastructure investment and Canilao’s trailblazing leadership in shaping the industry.
The GBO Awards “seek to recognize and reward excellence in businesses worldwide.” It is designed to facilitate the outstanding work of businesses and business leaders across industries. AIC is no stranger to the GBO Awards, having been hailed Most Innovative Industrial Development Company back in 2022.
“These recognitions from the International Finance Awards and the Global Business Outlook Awards are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovative spirit of the men and women behind AIC. These inspire us to continue building transformative infrastructure ecosystems that create meaningful, sustainable impact for communities and drive economic growth,” said Canilao.
Recently, AIC was also recognized as one of Asia's Top Community Centric Companies at the ACES Awards 2024, selected from over 600 nominees across the region. Two flagship community initiatives of AIC’s business units, namely: the Labor Program of AIC Economic Estates, called Talent Edge, and Project Blue by Apo Agua Infrastructura, Inc. (Apo Agua) were recognized for their “innovative approach to community development.”
