Therma South, Inc. (TSI) recently turned over 18 thin client systems and 3 host personal computers to Binugao Central Elementary School, part of its ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education in the public school system, particularly in Brgy. Binugao in Davao City’s Toril district. With the computer donation, TSI helps ease the computer-to-student ratio from 8:1 to a manageable 2:1 for a class of 50 pupils. This will also benefit almost 1,200 overall by enhancing their computer skills to be at par with top performing schools in the district.
Meanwhile, around 380 students of Salvacion Elementary School in San Agustin, Surigao del Sur received 10 new computer units through the computer donation program of AboitizPower together with Surigao del Sur II Electric Cooperative (Surseco-II). Salvacion Elementary School teachers and students expressed appreciation for the support, this being the first time their school became a recipient of such computer donations.
