Aboitiz Group takes 3 at Asian in-house counsels awards

The Aboitiz Group took home 3 out of 5 awards nominations at the In-House Community – Counsels of the Year Awards 2018 held in Hong Kong on May 10. Aboitiz Equity Ventures and AboitizPower were recognized for their ability to “demonstrate a range of achievements” for Conglomerate, Energy & Natural Resources, Integration, Risk Management, and Transactional categories.

Here are the categories where Aboitiz won:

In-House Legal Team of the Year – Conglomerate
Aboitiz Equity Ventures

In-House Legal Team of the Year – Energy & Natural Resources
Aboitiz Power Corporation – Asia Winner

In-House Legal Team of the Year – Integration
Aboitiz Equity Ventures – Winner

AEV, represented by Pagan Arches, AVP for Contracts and Commercial Transactions, bagged the In-House Legal Team of the Year – Conglomerate and In-House Legal Team of the Year – Integration awards, while AboitizPower won the In-House Legal Team of the Year – Energy & Natural Resources (Asia) category and was represented by Idesa Roxas, Associate for Transactions and Acquisitions, Joseph Trillana Gonzales, FVP and General Counsel, Clarisse De La Cruz, Junior Associate – Project Execution.

According to its website, the In-House Community Counsels of the Year Awards aims “to provide a benchmark of excellence so that in-house teams can measure their performance among their peers, as well as to help shine a light on the work that in-house teams do, particularly for other stakeholders within the organisations they represent.”
