
Dear Fellow Team Members,
Happy New Year and welcome to 2025!
This year will be the first major checkpoint of our ongoing transformation, and I encourage everyone to take stock of how things have changed or not. Since we began the GT, we opened our minds and laid the groundwork for a new kind of conglomerate. 2025 is the year of Being a techglomerate, and so a real passion for better ways should by now be fully ingrained in our culture.
With every passing year the world gets more unpredictable, and the only way to be successful and happy in 2025 and beyond is to continue thinking differently about how we work, lead, and live. Business and politics remains full of distractions and disruptions, and to navigate these we need to constantly upgrade our personal and organizational operating systems by simplifying everything. Connecting the dots will be the buzzwords of 2025. We will need clarity and focus to see the big picture, solve core issues, and deliver meaningful and sustainable outcomes, both at work and home.
At the heart of our transformation is, of course, our people, who are the foundation for organizational excellence. Our journey to becoming an ever smarter, faster, and simpler organization continues with each of us. This is why I recently shared these words of advice for personal growth and positive change in both your professional and personal lives:
1. Start each day with gratitude and know how lucky you already are.
2. Recognize that health is often the root of all problems, so take care of your mind and body.
3. We are what we eat, so be mindful of what you put into your body.
4. Take ownership of your life because you can control your actions and results.
5. Free yourself from fear by facing it and breaking it into small steps.
6. Surround yourself with positive people and crank up your good energy.
7. Get to the core of the problem and produce sustainable results.
8. Connect the dots and simplify by seeing the big picture and identifying what truly matters.
More than just tools for personal transformation, connecting these eight dots can be a 2025 roadmap to a healthier, high-performing culture that consistently moves the needle and creates real value. This is only an example of what works for me; it may not work for you, so you need to find what does. When we take care of ourselves and each other by focusing on what truly matters, we unlock our full potential as individuals and as an organization.
This is the goal for 2025. As the Philippines’ first techglomerate, we must, by now, have the capacity to set ourselves apart. We are back to where we started; remember, it starts with you and me. We knew what was coming, and we had ample time to prepare. We all knew the game was changing, and in 2025 we need to be ahead of it.
