Over the entire month of August, A-People took part in the Aboitiz No Impact Challenge, the Aboitiz groupwide campaign to encourage team members to make simple lifestyle choices that promote wellness and reduce carbon footprint.
The program involved a dozen challenges that focused on wellness, saving energy and water, and waste reduction. With 97 participating teams from across the Group and 1,146 team members making the commitment, the campaign resulted in a remarkable 206 tons of CO2e avoided, an amount that equals to:

Inspired by the Aboitiz Group’s purpose, to drive change for a better world, this initiative is part of the Aboitiz Race to Reduce (R2R) 2.0 program that underpins the Aboitiz Group’s commitment to resource efficiency and minimizing operational carbon footprint.
It was initially a struggle, but at the end of the day, I am grateful to our team for being willing to go the extra mile–on top of their workload–in completing this challenge. we succeeded and because it was a collaborative effort, and I couldn’t be more thankful for this experience.

During the last four weeks, we discovered how eco-friendly lifestyle choices can also be practical, cost-efficient, and easy to do.
