Ensuring sustainable water for all begins with respecting the natural world and safeguarding water sources.
Last July 29, Apo Agua also strengthened its commitment to environmental stewardship by entering into a Tripartite Agreement with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) XI and the Mt. Tipolog Bantay Kinaiyahan Association Inc. (MBTKAI). This five-year Reforestation and Riverbank Rehabilitation initiative will nurture the riverbank in Brgy. Tawantawan, within the conservation area of the Panigan-Tamugan Watershed.
This builds on previous successes with DCWD’s Adopt-a-Site initiative and a Tripartite Partnership with FARDECO, which together covered a total of 250 hectares within the watershed, maintaining over 35,000 endemic and fruit-bearing trees with almost 100 Obu-Manuvu farmer partners.
