UnionBank bagged two awards at the 55th Anvil Awards, taking home a gold Anvil for its capability-building program called Blockchain Xcellerator and a silver Anvil for its EDTalks internal video podcast.

UnionBank’s Blockchain Xcellerator program started as a drive to enable talents to learn blockchain technology and eventually get employment. It has since evolved to become a mentorship program for educators and most recently, a learning pathway for students from partner schools.

Meanwhile, EDTalksan internal podcast hosted by UnionBank president and CEO Edwin Bautista, was recognized for providing a forum for UnionBankers and its leaders to discuss the company culture and the bank’s journey towards digital transformation.

This program, which was launched as an internal communication tool for the implementation of the agile methodology across the bank, became a regular and much-awaited talk show for the organization.
