Celebrating strong stakeholder partnerships

Arcel Madrid | July 11, 2017

In celebration of a partnership that is continually getting stronger, AP Renewables, Inc. (APRI) gathered yet again over 100 stakeholders from host communities, partner agencies, and sectoral groups from the provinces of Laguna, Batangas, and Albay for its quarterly meeting.

We are happy that this memorable event was held in our barangay. APRI has always been supportive of its host communities, and we are grateful for all the wonderful things they are extending to us.

-Nestor Maloles, Brgy. Chairman, San Felix

The meetings, with the theme “Tayo’y Magsaya at Magkaisa sa Barrio Fiesta”, were organized last June 22 at the covered court of Brgy. San Felix, Sto. Tomas, Batangas and July 5 at Tiwi Spring Resort, Albay.

APRI took this opportunity to get to know its host communities, consisting of 23 barangays, 4 municipalities, and 3 provinces, in a deeper and more personal level. Full of energy and enthusiasm, APRI team members and stakeholders shared stories and showcased talents in the said Barrio-Fiesta themed meeting.

Some of the event’s highlights are the partaking in the boodle fight in a show of solidarity, community presentations, and various Pinoy games. Sectoral groups from the three barangays of Sto. Tomas, Batangas made the event more momentous by performing fiesta-themed folk and social dances. The senior citizen and other sectoral members from Tiwi, Albay performed ballroom dances and sung a special song with the lyrics about the fruitful partnership of APRI and the host barangays.

We want to get to know more about our communities, to listen to their stories of struggles and triumphs. We want to tailor-fit our future programs and initiatives to better address their needs.

-Felino Bernardo, President and COO, APRI

APRI, in turn, gave updates on plant operations, target and actual power generation, hiring opportunities, Safety, Health, and Environmental programs, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, and ER 1-94 projects.

The presence of the stakeholders solidifies APRI’s commitment to being the neighbor of choice in the communities where it operates.

APRI, a wholly owned subsidiary of AboitizPower, continues to conduct dialogues with its stakeholders to help advance the understanding and build trust among its host communities.
