CitySavings continues its mission of elevating lives with the unveiling of the Heroes Lounge at the AFP Pension and Gratuity Management Center (AFP–PGMC). This corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative transforms a standard multipurpose hall into a modernized hub, ensuring that military retirees transition to retirement with the dignity and comfort they deserve.

A Home for Heroic Communities

The Heroes Lounge is more than a renovation; it is a space designed for the social and emotional well-being of pensioners. “Our CSR initiatives are anchored on co-creating empowered communities,”  CitySavings Pension Sales Head Ma. Cristine Mallare explained. “This lounge reflects the respect our AFP pensioners earned through years of service.”

By modernizing the facility, CitySavings creates a ripple effect of efficiency that benefits both the retirees and the institution. The improved workspace allows AFP staff to process pensioner needs more effectively, while retirees now enjoy a comfortable, accessible waiting area. Furthermore, Commodore Luidegar C. Casis, PN, noted that the project reflects CitySavings’ genuine dedication to the welfare of those who defended the nation, underscoring its commitment to nation-building.

Beyond Banking

CitySavings continues to bridge the gap between financial leadership and social impact. The Heroes Lounge is a testament to this purpose, ensuring that those who spent their lives protecting our nation are met with a banking partner that protects their future.
