DENR lauds Hedcor’s environmental protection efforts

Hedcor was recognized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ Environmental Management Bureau-Davao Region (DENR-EMB XI) this past June for being one with the agency in protecting and conserving the environment.

By supporting the government’s environmental plans, Hedcor contributes to the improvement of environmental quality in the region.

In 2016, Hedcor adopted four kilometers of the Talomo River under the DENR’s Adopt-a-River program and has been continuously implementing initiatives like river clean-up drives, eco-market efforts, and tree planting activities.

Davao is truly blessed to have Hedcor as one of our environmental champions in the city. They do more than what is required.

The Talomo River is the source of water for Hedcor’s Talomo hydropower facilities in Davao, which have a combined installed capacity of 4.47 megawatts.

With four decades years of pioneering operations, Hedcor leads run-of-river power generation development in the Philippines. Today, the company manages and operates 21 hydropower plants and supplies the country with 245 MW of clean and renewable energy.
