What happens when competition meets Transformation? You get the GT Cup Challenge—a high-energy showdown where teams battle it out, earn bragging rights, and bring AEV’s Techglomerate spirit to life. From March to June, CSUs hustled, innovated, and climbed the leaderboard. Let’s take a look at who rose to the top—and how they did it.
Meet the first GT Cup winners!
Big congratulations to our standout MVP, CJ Marin from Cyber and Information Security Office, who topped the leaderboard this quarter. He showcased consistent enthusiasm and excellence. CJ walked away with exclusive prizes, including an exclusive GT Cup MVP Jacket, a premium Aboitiz Seiko watch, and PHP 5,000 worth of gift certificates.
On the CSU front, the champions of Q2 are none other than Investment and Corporate Finance Group led by Mark Velasquez! Their exceptional teamwork and competitiveness have earned them an exclusive dinner and drinks event with SMA. Cheers to ICFG for setting the bar high!

Spotlight on Our Wins
This quarter wasn’t just about competition, it was also about transformative wins across AEV:
Gen AI Acceleration and Adoption:
Teams embraced the transformative power of Gen AI, Gemini, and ChatGPT through programs like the Gemini 20-Day Challenge, facilitated by the Transformative Technology team – significantly enhancing productivity and innovation across CSUs. The initiatives accelerated our journey toward becoming future-ready through powerful tech adoption.
Super Ditch & SPARK Program:
Our commitment to agile operations and process improvement was highlighted by the success of the Super Ditch Program Kick Off, while the SPARK program is igniting innovative ideas from CSUs, boosting simplification across the organization.
Learning, Wellness, Culture, and Engagement Programs:
Health and wellness took center stage through the BetterUs initiatives spearheaded by AEV’s People Team, alongside impactful culture and engagement activities from various CSUs. Initiatives like the Data Privacy workshop, Foresight podcast, the AEV Pride Run, and empowering Women’s Month brown bag sessions all aimed at shaping well-rounded, resilient, and inspired employees. From general wellness engagements to mental health awareness sessions, team participation grew, reinforcing our commitment to a balanced and inclusive workplace culture.
As we celebrate these milestones, the GT Cup Challenge continues to inspire, unite, and propel us as we embody the Year of Being a Techglomerate. Get ready—next quarter is set to be equally transformative!
