I’ve been a UnionBanker since September 2019, and in that time, I’ve seen how transformation isn’t just a buzzword but a way of life in the Aboitiz Group. Being part of a conglomerate that’s constantly evolving and involving its people in that evolution is something I’m truly proud of. One mindset that has always resonated with me is Sabin M. Aboitiz’s belief that every great transformation begins with ourselves. That belief came to life during the Canva World Tour 2025 Learning Session.
Together with Martina from our Employer Branding and Communications team, we joined nearly 100 fellow Aboitiz team members from across different SBUs in this collaborative learning experience. The session introduced us to Canva Enterprise and its AI-powered features that empower even non-designers to create visually compelling, brand-consistent materials. From presentations and documents to whiteboards and videos, Canva AI is a game-changer in how we communicate and collaborate.
What made this experience even more meaningful was being surrounded by fellow creatives and communicators from across the Aboitiz Group. The energy in the room was electric, with everyone eager to learn, share, and create. It was a reminder that creativity thrives in community, and that transformation is most powerful when it’s shared.
As my role evolves from Creative Writing Lead to Experience Designer, I’m excited to explore how tools like Canva can elevate the way we craft stories that inform, engage, and enrich the employee experience. It’s not just about making things look good—it’s about making every material impactful and purposeful.
