AboitizLand Activates To Luzon Host Communities

While Luzon is halfway through the quarantine, some communities continue to face challenges as they adapt to the situation.

As the country copes with Covid-19, AboitizLand, the real estate arm of the Aboitiz Group, remains committed to their promise of creating better ways to live. Now, more than ever, the Aboitiz value of responsibility is a priority for the company to ensure the safety of all its team members, stakeholders, and the general public.

In response to the crisis, AboitizLand, together with other Aboitiz Group companies, extended assistance to communities that host their developments. To heighten preventive measures, they have provided much needed personal protective equipment to the local government units of Barangay Calubcub II, San Juan, Batangas and Barangay Valle Cruz in Cabanatuan. The next batch of beneficiaries are host communities situated in Central Luzon.

A total of 4,000 masks, 1,500 surgical gloves, 4 thermal scanners, and gallons of alcohol have been distributed to partners in Lipa, Malvar, San Juan, and Barangay Calubcub

Food and other essentials will also be distributed to check point stations in Lipa and Malvar, while additional medical supplies will be delivered to hospitals around the LIMA Estate, as a joint initiative of Lima Land, Lima Enerzone, and Lima Water — further strengthening the group’s efforts as One Aboitiz.

Relief operations are also set to be rolled-out in Cebu specifically in Balamban, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue, and Cebu City as the enhanced community quarantine is imposed in the province of Cebu. To date, 2,000 masks were donated to the Municipality of Liloan while snacks and drinks were provided to frontliners in Barangay Tamiao and Barangay Cabadiangan in Compostela.

A simple gesture of support to their work, snacks were given to check point patrollers in some parts of Cebu
One Aboitiz. Closely working with Aboitiz Foundation and other sister companies, donations are quickly being turned over to Local Government Units in Cebu.

Despite the limitations on supply and logistics, AboitizLand has made it possible to reach out to those most vulnerable in this unprecedented time — including people who are not able to work and who need aid and support. Plans to deliver goods to underserved locations are already in place.

Together with other Aboitiz Group companies, AboitizLand hopes to help and serve even more cities until the lockdown is over.
