February 14 is one of the most celebrated hallmark holidays all over the world. Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s, Galentine’s, or Single Awareness Day, there’s always someone to celebrate with. But in Aboitiz, AEV was everyone’s Valentine.
In recognition of the passion and dedication that our founders demonstrated in growing the business to where it is now, Aboitiz celebrated February 14 with the theme “Celebrating 100 Years of Love” in reference to the company’s centennial anniversary and the A-People who are continuing the legacy.
Musik-A, one of Aboitiz’s recognized A-Clubs, treated team members and leaders musical performances accompanied by free taho to jumpstart their day. However, the Filipino classic was only the start of a full day of sweet treats that AEV had in store.
In keeping with the #OneAboitiz push, AEV and AboitizPower joined forces to put on a lunchtime show by hosting a sweet jamming session with Musik-A featuring famous love songs. In addition to a host of interactive games and sweet treats, a Cupid’s Mailbox was made available where A-People can freely write sweet messages to the people they admire while a photo booth also set up for those seeking to commit the celebration into memory.
The partnership between AP and AEV for the 100 Years of Celebrating Love actually started from one proposal slide that grew to multiple ideas since we wanted to do something different in celebrating Valentine’s Day – activities that don’t just celebrate team members who are in a relationship or in-love but each and every team member who shares the love with other colleagues. In the light of Aboitiz’s 100 years, we wanted to make sure to promote this special year aside from the teamwork in every engagement activity that we do. – Paulo Punla, AboitizPower
Just when everyone thought the Valentine’s festivities were over, a roving banana cue station surprised our A-People at their work stations for merienda! Of course AEV had to keep the A-People well-fed for them to be able to deliver their best at work. The look on their faces of surprise and happiness upon seeing another treat to end the day was the perfect way to end Valentine’s Day at AEV.
