PETNET successfully hurdled with flying colors the ISO 9001:2015 Certification Audit conducted by Certification International Philippines (CIP) on Dec. 5, 12 and 14, 2017. The ISO 9001:2015 certification is an international seal of the company’s ability to consistently provide quality products and services that satisfy the requirements of its customer and stakeholders.
More than anything else, the company’s ISO 9001:2015 certification is a story of how teamwork and passion can produce outstanding results even in the face of tremendous odds. Team PETNET was given a herculean challenge by its Board of Directors to get certified in less than a year. Larry Ocampo, the company’s dynamic President, took the challenge head-on. Preparing for ISO certification has never been easy for any company that is seriously committed to changing its culture and business practices. Yet, even with so many other priorities in between and with the constant pressure of achieving set business targets, Team PETNET has never cracked under pressure. It was an amazing sight to see a team so fired up by a burning desire to get things done.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification signifies a major milestone in the company’s Quality journey. PETNET has now embraced various global best practices such as Stakeholder Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Knowledge Management, Project Management, Communication Planning, Competency-Based Development, 8 Disciplines of Problem Solving, etc. Adopting such global best practices simply means that PETNET is serious in its desire to scale up its business by ensuring that its stakeholders are satisfied with the effectiveness and efficiency of its business processes and in the delivery of its services.

The company’s Quality journey started in 2016 with the Management gearing towards ISO preparedness until December 2017. With so many other priorities in between, the ISO preparation proved to be a litmus test of PETNET’s resolve towards Quality. With amazing display of teamwork and passionate commitment from the PETNET team, they were able to pass ISO certification audit with Zero Non-Conformance.
Certification International Philippines, Inc. (CIP) was incorporated under Philippine law in 1995 and is an affiliate of the British company Certification International U.K. Ltd. In 1997, CIP was the first certification body in the Philippines to be accredited for its Quality Management System certification services by the national accreditation authority BPS Accreditation Scheme (BAS, now named PAO or Philippine Accreditation Office) of the Department of Trade and Industry. Being accredited means that CIP can demonstrate to its customers its rigorous and consistent compliance to ISO and International Accreditation Forum requirements governing the integrity, independence and competence of auditing and certification services. CIP’s certification methodology provides value to its customers by helping them ensure that their management systems operate effectively as a guide for achieving their organisational performance goals. These certification principles and emphasis in customer service have contributed to the strong reputation and credibility of CIP in the Philippines.
