In the #LevelUp campaign launched by AEV HR early this year to respond to the engagement Q12 item on learning and growth opportunities, the campaign included LIVE learning sessions by Team Leaders and Team Members for A-People across the Aboitiz Group. Although working in our homes may have disrupted our daily routines during the lockdown, the opportunity to learn did not stop.
The program #LearningLunes was born to engage the team members at home and further promote the #StudentAlways mindset, AEV HR shared learning platforms, books, and materials at the start of each week. AEV HR stays committed to driving change for a better world, starting with its greatest asset, the A-People. A number of #LearningLunes sessions, which covered personal interests to core learning programs, were livestreamed through AGORA 2.0, Aboitiz’s Workplace by Facebook. Other Mondays were set aside for team leaders who shared a list of books or online courses that resonated with them and which they hoped to impart with A-People.
Sessions were conducted by AEV’s very own team members who shared their expertise on certain topics relevant today such as Continuous Improvement, Digital Marketing, Google Data Studio, Stakeholder Engagement, Receipts 101, and Livestreaming Capabilities. #LearningLunes also had sessions on Data Analytics and Investments 101 which were hosted by our partners from the UnionBank of the Philippines, the foundations of Project Management with AboitizPower, and International Operations with executives from the Food Group. This program engages Team Leaders and Team Members with a love of learning across the Group.
Soft skills were also covered which aims to help the A-People improve their personal and professional life such as Personal Branding, Personal Finance, Disaster Risk & Resilience, and Executive Presence.
As a DRR advocate, sharing of knowledge and experience is a responsibility and key to influence. The #LearningLunes has inspired me to continue the advocacy and its the best way to cultivate mastery.
– Fred Dalumpines, Aboitiz Foundation (Speaker for Disaster Risk & Resilience)
To help the A-People adjust to the new normal, Resilience was also a topic that was heavily emphasized in #LearningLunes. There were sessions solely for this topic and round table discussions held with guest speakers from AEV to talk about and discuss best practices and the challenges they have faced. In the coming year, Building Resilience will now be a part of Aboitiz Academy’s Foundational Core Programs as this was deemed as an important skill to have.
The new normal has changed the way we learn and interact with one another. After completing seventeen live sessions from April 2020 with speakers from AEV and other business units, the program received 13,036 after live views and a 4.70 customer satisfaction rating. At this point, it is safe to say that digital learning in Aboitiz is here to stay and the demand for it will only continue in the years to come.
