Pilmico Foods Corporation (Pilmico) celebrated its 58th founding anniversary last September 7 and despite the limitations brought by community quarantines, the Food Group did not let this hamper the day’s celebrations.

From its humble beginnings in 1962, Pilmico has grown to become an integrated food and agriculture business with international presence in the ASEAN. This is why every year, the anniversary celebration has always been something to look forward to as it commemorates the long and storied history of the Food Group Philippines.
This year, however, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected how businesses operate not just in the Philippines, but on a global scale. Thanks to Pilmico’s and the Aboitiz group’s adaptability to digital transformation, the group was able to find ways to celebrate in the virtual.
In our efforts to ensure future success for Pilmico and the Food Group, it is essential that we don’t forget the WHY behind what we do – that is to advance business and communities. We are a Company with diverse identities, and working with a united, single goal in mind is what will allow us to capitalize on these differences.
–Tristan Aboitiz, President & CEO, Food Group Philippines
In his message for the 58th Anniversary of Pilmico, he also highlighted the hard work and dedication of the team members as a key to the success despite the challenges faced by the group.

“I am grateful for everyone’s past and present contributions, which have enabled Pilmico to serve Filipino communities, and a wider ASEAN network over the years. It is with great excitement that I look forward to our continued work together, as we achieve our greater purpose of feeding humanity,” Aboitiz concluded in his message to the Food Group.
As part of its virtual celebrations and to give back to its consumers, the Food Group also participated in Shopee’s recently-concluded 9.9 Super Shopping Day. Read more about this engagement here: Pilmico partners with Shopee to make feeds and pet food more accessible online.
