At the 2nd SEIPI Linkages Exchange (LinkX), Aboitiz representatives highlighted how the Group’s synergy in power, water, construction, and housing supports semiconductor and electronics locators at LIMA Estate, enabling businesses to grow and communities to thrive.
Industry leaders from the semiconductor and electronics (S&E) sector gathered for the NextGen Estates Forum, a Linkages Exchange (LinkX) forum hosted by Aboitiz Economic Estates, in partnership with the Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines Foundation, Inc. (SEIPI). The event highlighted how collaboration, innovation, and sustainability can accelerate the growth of one of the country’s most vital industries.
The forum provided a platform for companies to exchange insights on the evolving demands of global supply chains and explore solutions that keep the Philippine S&E sector competitive in a rapidly changing market. The country ranks as the world’s 9th largest chip exporter, with electronic products generating USD 39.09 billion in 2024 or 53.4% of total exports facilitated by the Philippines. While the industry faces potential headwinds, such as tariff uncertainties on semiconductor exports to the United States, SEIPI projects steady to moderate growth in 2025.
“SEIPI remains committed to fostering connections across the industry. The Linkages Exchange is a testament to this mission in action, as LinkX provides a dynamic platform for industry leaders to deepen partnerships, broaden market reach, and drive growth within the semiconductor and electronics industry, as well as to related industries,” shared Dan Lachica, President of the Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines, Inc.
To sustain this growth, the national government has introduced reforms—including CREATE MORE, the Semiconductor and Electronics Industry Advisory Council, and TESDA’s Philippine Skills Framework—to strengthen competitiveness and attract investments. These are complemented by private sector initiatives such as Aboitiz Economic Estates’ Talent Edge program, which bridges academe, government, and industry to align skills with employer needs. The upcoming Batangas State University at LIMA Estate will further accelerate this mission by producing graduates equipped for high-value industries like semiconductors and electronics.

Through its integrated ecosystem of infrastructure, power, water, and construction, the Aboitiz Group provides the operational backbone industries need to thrive. LIMA Estate in Batangas, home to global leaders in electronics, automotive, and manufacturing, demonstrates how industrial-anchored estates build resilience through diverse supply chains and reliable support services.
“What makes LIMA unique is that it’s not only an industrial hub, but a complete ecosystem,” said Clifford Academia, Vice President for Operations, Aboitiz Economic Estates. “It brings together the strengths of the Aboitiz Group in power, water, land, and construction, so businesses can focus on innovation while knowing the essentials are already taken care of.”
More than land and infrastructure, Aboitiz Economic Estates delivers the integrated solutions industries need to stay ahead—from reliable utilities and modern facilities to resilient supply chains and a skilled workforce. This ecosystem approach ensures that high-value sectors such as semiconductors and electronics can scale, innovate, and compete with confidence on the global stage.
With its unique ecosystem and proven track record, Aboitiz Economic Estates is helping position South Luzon as a powerhouse for the global semiconductor and electronics industry—anchoring national competitiveness while creating meaningful opportunities for the Filipino workforce.
