New Retail Concepts Bring ‘More of Bohol’ to Bohol-Panglao International Airport

Duty Free Philippines, Sunglass Gallery, and Momento are among the new retail concepts at BPIA, alongside locally made products and offerings from Bohol-based enterprises.

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — Travelers passing through Bohol-Panglao International Airport (BPIA), operated by Aboitiz InfraCapital Bohol Airport Corporation (ABAC), now have more opportunities to shop, dine, and discover products that reflect the character of Bohol, with new retail concepts complementing the airport’s existing commercial offerings.

Since assuming operations of BPIA, ABAC has welcomed several new merchants, adding to the range of travel essentials, dining options, retail concepts, and locally made products available to arriving and departing passengers.

“For many travelers, the airport is both the first and last stop of their journey. We want that experience to reflect the warmth, creativity, and identity of Bohol. By welcoming more retail concepts—particularly those showcasing locally made products—we’re creating an airport experience that is more convenient for passengers while providing meaningful opportunities for local businesses and artisans to reach visitors from around the world,” said Aldwin C. Uy, General Manager of Bohol–Panglao International Airport

For food and beverage, travelers can choose from House of Fruitas, Jamaican Pattie Shop, and Pick Up Coffee, offering convenient options for a quick meal, snack, or drink before continuing their journey. Meanwhile, the airport’s retail and shopping mix now includes Duty Free Philippines, Momento, Nomad, Tesoros (Filipino Treasures), Island Souvenirs, and Sunglass Gallery.

Complementing these commercial offerings are products from local enterprises, giving greater visibility to Boholano sellers through the Department of Trade and Industry’s One Town, One Product (OTOP) Program.

Several stores at BPIA carry authentic Boholano delicacies, handcrafted products, locally made souvenirs, and goods from community-based enterprises. Travelers can also find a wide selection of local crafts, apparel, and Boholano delicacies at Aproniana Gift Shop in Baclayon, a one-stop destination for souvenirs and pasalubong.

Together, these offerings reflect the airport’s role not only as the province’s primary gateway but also as an extension of the Bohol travel experience, giving visitors opportunities to encounter local products and homegrown businesses as they pass through the airport.

The commercial enhancements build on BPIA’s growing role as one of the country’s busiest tourism gateways.

Since ABAC assumed operations of the airport, BPIA has served more than 2.16 million passengers, reflecting the continued strength of domestic and international travel to the province.

As Bohol continues to welcome travelers from domestic and international markets, enhancing the airport experience has become increasingly important—not only by ensuring safe and efficient operations but also by creating spaces that are welcoming, convenient, and representative of the destination itself.

Through continued collaboration with tourism partners, concessionaires, and local enterprises, ABAC remains committed to improving the passenger experience while supporting Bohol’s tourism industry and local economy.
