What happens when two power A-Clubs join forces for a good cause? You get an A-Cluboration that’s determined to drive change for a better world.
Aboitiz Women’s Club (AWC) launched the Adopt-a-Teacher program in 2019 in tandem with Aboitiz Equity Ventures’ Adopt-a-Pupil program to benefit Agsungot Integrated School located up in the mountains of Talamban, Cebu.
Despite these trying times, AWC vowed to continue what they have started for the Adopt-A-Teacher Program. This time, they got together with Sew Very Happy Club (SVHC), another all-female A-Club, to strengthen their efforts to help their beneficiary. The two A-Clubs decided to distribute hygiene and school-at-home kits for both teachers and pupils of the school.
The COVID kits contained colorful face masks that were hand sewn with love by the SVHC women and mini bottles of alcohol for teachers for their convenient use and added protection during module distributions. The school-at-home kits included alcohol, pencils, ballpens, and bond paper. The A-Cluboration project was also able to donate printer ink cartridge to the school’s faculty members.
Despite adjusting to the new normal, these women have taken the time to show others how they care in their commitment to advancing business and communities.
