They came from various Abotiz BUs and brought along their families and friends for an exciting day of stress release, amid the rapid sound of pistols firing at close range that sends their adrenaline rushing. It was the first-ever fun shoot led by members of the A-Shooters Club who were out in full-force to support their much-awaited activity.
Spotted at the range were Aboitiz leaders DJ Sta.Ana, AEV Chief External Affairs Officer, C3 Caballero, AboitizPower Oil BU President and COO, and Aldo Ramos, AboitizPower Coal BU VP Corporate Services, all skilled sport shooting enthusiasts.
Registration and Waiver
For proper documentation, should there be any need for a paraffin test, the Philippine Army Officers Gun Club required each and every shooter to register and sign a waivers.
Safety first
Bernard Mamuad, AEV AVP for EXPRO, with EXPRO team members Joel Andres and Rodel Salgado, conducted the briefing for gun safety. Bernard went the extra mile by coaching each and every beginner. He made sure they took the necessary steps such as knowing their dominant eye, sight, and target alignment, and learned to hold their breath steady for natural aim towards a slow, unflinching squeeze of the trigger to hit the target right where they wanted.

Medaled for Exceptional Shooting Skills
C3 topped the Defensive Service Pistol (DSP) category, followed by Jheff Abuel, (AEV Risk) while Lance Dy (AboitizPower Energy Trading and Sales) was the champion in Enhanced Service Pistol (ESP) category, with DJ Sta. Ana closely finishing as First Runner-up. Anjo Villanueva bagged the top score in the Beginner category and followed by Jon Asinas (AEV Legal Management Services).
