AdventEnergy, the retail electricity supply arm of Aboitiz Power Corporation, signed retail electricity supply contracts with Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino and Waterfront Mactan Airport Hotel and Casino, expanding its footprint in the region and its tourism industry.
The former will be supplied with 1.30 megawatts (MW) and the latter with 2.01 MW of electric power, supporting both properties’ continued operations as premier destinations for local and international travelers.
“The nuances of operating a hotel, which require continued service round the clock, is why customer choice matters. AdventEnergy can help tailor its solutions to what the Waterfront facilities need,” said AdventEnergy Vice President for Retail Energy Sales and Services Catherine Del Villar-Pasilaban. “We are happy to work with them to help keep their hospitality services running smoothly and efficiently.”
Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino recently celebrated its 28th anniversary, making it one of the city’s most enduring hospitality destinations.

A partnership like this ensures that the next chapter of that story runs on power that’s just as dependable as the service we’ve built our name on,” said its General Manager Ali Banting.
Meanwhile, Waterfront Mactan Airport Hotel and Casino carries the distinction of having been named Asia’s Best Airport Hotel in 2020, a standard it continues to uphold today.
“Being an airport hotel means there’s no room for downtime as our guests are always in motion. AdventEnergy gives us the reliability we need to keep delivering a high standard, and the confidence to keep raising that bar,” Hotel Manager Ginalyn Landiza-Puzon explained.
The partnership reflects AdventEnergy’s continuous support for the Energy Regulatory Commission’s customer choice programs, which aims to widen the access to competitive, reliable power for more businesses across the Philippines. Beginning June 26, 2026, the eligibility threshold for Retail Competition and Open Access was lowered from 500 to just 100 kilowatts.
AdventEnergy also powers other hotels and properties like L’Fisher Hotel in Bacolod and Discovery Primea in Makati City.
