To help meet fuel supply needs in the country, Aboitiz Construction recently completed the construction of an additional petroleum storage tank for the Philippine Coastal Storage and Pipeline Corporation (PCSPC) in Subic, Zambales.
In what is called “the Trafigura project”, Aboitiz Construction was involved in the design, construction, and conversion of Tank 1614 from floating to fixed roof. To ensure efficiency of the tank, the company also completed the mechanical, piping, and fire protection works for the expansion of Boton Tank Farm.
PSCPC owns a 160-hectare facility in Subic Bay Freeport Zone including marine terminal, fuel storage tank farms and tank truck loading facilities. Both the storage and handling facility can hold a total of 5.2 million barrels of petroleum and petroleum-related products.
For ten years now, Aboitiz Construction has been a partner of PSCPC in securing proper and world class storage and handling of petroleum and petroleum-related products through the construction of tanks and expansion of tank farms.
To date, Aboitiz Construction has built a total of 25 units of storage facility tanks for PCSPC. In line with its commitment to embody the safety culture, the company achieved 2 million safe man hours for all its PCSPC projects.
